Kansas City Star Endorses Ed Peterson for Johnson County Commission District 1
"As a commissioner for eight years, Ed Peterson has been exactly the kind of forward-thinking public servant Johnson Countians have long supported.
Peterson wisely has spent his time upgrading the county’s environmental programs, its parks and its public transit system to serve a growing number of residents at a reasonable cost. He also recognizes the importance of regional cooperation, in which the county can promote its interests while building a more attractive metropolitan area.
Peterson, a lawyer, also was Fairway’s mayor for a decade. He is opposed by Robert Meyers Jr., a businessman and Roeland Park City Council member."
